BMW Group will showcase the all‑new BMW iX3 and its most advanced digital and electric innovations at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, positioning the SUV as the first production model of the brand’s Neue Klasse era for U.S. audiences. Before its market launch, the iX3 has already collected multiple innovation and car‑of‑the‑year honors, underscoring its role as a technology flagship rather than a conventional model refresh.

AI‑powered in‑car assistant with Alexa+

At CES, visitors will experience a new AI‑powered BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant in the iX3 that uses Amazon’s Alexa+ technology for more natural, conversational interaction. BMW is the first automaker to integrate Alexa+ into its vehicles, enabling context‑aware responses and personalized support that goes far beyond basic voice commands and is designed to keep drivers more focused on the road. This enhanced voice experience will also be on display at Amazon’s Devices & Services Exhibit in the Venetian Hotel, Ballrooms G–J.

BMW Panoramic iDrive and Neue Klasse vision

The BMW booth in the Silver Lot, in front of the South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will highlight BMW Panoramic iDrive, the sweeping, next‑generation display and control concept first shown dramatically at CES 2025. In the new iX3, Panoramic iDrive is combined with conversational AI to deliver an immersive digital cockpit that continues the vision introduced by the BMW i Vision Dee concept in 2023 of the car as an intelligent companion.

Sixth‑gen eDrive and “Heart of Joy” dynamics

Underpinning the iX3 is BMW’s sixth‑generation eDrive technology, representing a major step in electric powertrain efficiency, performance, and overall vehicle range. BMW refers to its integrated chassis, powertrain, and control philosophy as the “Heart of Joy,” signaling a focus on delivering next‑level driving dynamics that align with the brand’s traditional emphasis on handling and driver engagement.

Symbiotic Drive and evolving digital ecosystem

BMW Symbiotic Drive in the iX3 is designed to offer seamless driver assistance, blending automated support with human control for a smoother, more intuitive driving experience. Complementing these systems, BMW Operating System X provides an ever‑evolving entertainment and app ecosystem, ensuring that software, services, and in‑car experiences can be continuously updated over the life of the vehicle.

Strategic milestone for BMW in the U.S.

The launch of the new iX3 marks a key milestone in BMW Group’s transformation in electrification, digitalization, and circularity, with Neue Klasse technologies set to flow into around 40 new models and updates worldwide between now and 2027. In the United States, BMW’s footprint spans nearly 30 locations in 12 states, including its Spartanburg, South Carolina plant—the company’s largest single production facility globally—which builds up to 450,000 vehicles a year and has assembled more than 7 million BMWs since 1994.
