Engineering Comfort for Every Generation

With multigenerational family life growing across the United States, Nissan has prioritized making the all-new 2025 Murano the benchmark for comfort, accessibility, and ease of use. Smart design, from wider door openings to adjustable seating, ensures the Murano excels at meeting the needs of both young children and older adults in the same household.

Thoughtful Ergonomics for All Sizes

Nissan experts have meticulously engineered the Murano’s driver seat to accommodate a diverse range of body types, comfortably fitting drivers from 4 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet, 4 inches tall. Both front and outboard rear seats feature the company’s signature Zero Gravity technology for increased comfort. Engineers even flattened the bottom of the steering wheel rim, adding space for easier entry and exit, especially for taller drivers.

Easy Entry and Exit for the Whole Family

Understanding the practical needs of families, Nissan’s engineers made a major improvement by designing the Murano’s rear doors to open extra wide—at 78 degrees, about 10 degrees more than the previous model. This makes it easier for anyone with limited mobility to get in and out, and also provides more space for installing car seats. Enhanced rear knee room further adds to comfort, especially for taller passengers.

Attention to Detail in Every Element

Every detail in the Murano cabin was examined for ergonomic perfection. Designers evaluated millimeter differences in features like door armrest height and placement of assist grips to maximize comfort during long drives. The electronic push-button shifter has been optimized, positioned at an ergonomic angle to ensure easy, intuitive operation by the driver.

Next-Generation Safety and Technology

Beyond comfort, the 2025 Murano comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield® 360 and received the prestigious TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Looking forward, the 2026 Murano will feature available ProPILOT Assist 2.1, allowing for hands-off driving on compatible roadways when conditions are safe and the driver remains attentive.

Nissan’s human-centered approach ensures that every family member—regardless of age or mobility—can ride comfortably, proving that innovation in the automotive industry really can make life easier for families across generations.
